Crafting in Idaho

My mom and my sister Allison and I made a few crafts over Thanksgiving weekend in Idaho. One is painting canvas with a short phrase on it.

I got the letters from a My Minds Eye blogger party a few months ago and this was the perfect opportunity to use them. I bought a pack of canvas on sale at Michaels and we were set.

This is one my mom made for my sister Laura who wasnt able to make it.
It says , "Live Joyfully".

The reusable letters were really easy to put down on the canvas and then we just painted over them with our favorite color of paint.

Allison put, "Enjoy the Little Things" on hers. I love the color she chose!

...and my after!

The next project we did was a small and easy one...

Bottle cap magnets with stickers I have made specifically for these

Our next project took a few days to do. My sister Allison provided the wood and spray painted what color we wanted for the base. We were making Christmas countdown boards.

Once it was painted, we taped off where we wanted the chalkboard paint to go.

We also spray painted these frames gold to use on our countdown boards

Then we let everything dry for a bit. This was Sunday afternoon and since we were leaving in a little bit to go back to Utah, I told Allison I would finish the project there.

This is how my sister Laura wanted hers to look.  The top says 'Hoping & Wishing' and the bottom says 'Merry Christmas'. I had primed the chalkboard area here.

I didnt want mine looking like Santas belt buckle so mine is teal black and gold. I primed my chalkboard area here and wiped it clean. I really like how this turned out.

What Christmas crafts have you made lately? Link me in a comment below and I will come check it out!
