August Pinterest Party ~ Idaho

** This post may contain affiliate links **

I took the month of July off from doing any Pinterest parties since I was traveling so much. We were in Utah until almost the middle of July, home for a week, and then we left to go to Northern CA so I could attend girl's camp and volunteer on rappelling staff - hooray!  I did do a Pinterest party in August up in Idaho, so keep reading for a recap of that.

February Pinterest Party - Idaho!

February's party happened so early in the month it's weird to think that it is STILL February and it's not time for the next party yet. So far I am keeping the parties to one a month. Go ahead to read for what we made and what we ate in Idaho!

I was very excited to be able to host another Pinterest party in Idaho - my second one this year! Tony's niece, JD, was so excited to let me come set up the party at her place. She was a great host! Keep reading to see what we made and what we ate!

Oh, and here is the Pinterest board we worked from for ideas and inspiration.

Thanksgiving Craft - Gallery Glass!

I needed to test out this craft before the next Pinterest party so no better time to do it than on Thanksgiving, crafts with my mom, sister and sister in laws. This was such a fun project to do! Big thanks to Plaid Crafts for fulfilling my product request so quickly.

Family History & the Cricut Machine

My mother in law wanted me to bring my Cricut to Idaho for the holidays. I always travel with my Cricut when I know I will have an opportunity to use it. These pocketwatches have been in the family a long time. Tony's dad has one as well but we did not do anything but cut the vinyl for that box since it had not been painted the night I did the 3 in the picture above.

I used my Cricut Explore machine and navy blue vinyl to cut the names and dates. I think they turned out pretty great looking despite some of the letters wanting to slide around during transfer.

Craft Warehouse Favorites!

We all know that Craft Warehouse is one of my favorite craft stores. It's also important to note that it is only in WA, OR and ID that I know of. So any time I travel to one of those states, I make it a point to go!

Tony & I went to Idaho in July to see his grandma before she passed away and I was able to go to Craft Warehouse in Meridian. Squee! I found tons of good stuff and can't wait to share it all with you guys.

The Latest at Craft Warehouse

Ahh it was so nice to be back here again! I've been telling my coworkers all about how awesome this store is and when the time to go to Idaho got close, I got really antsy to go here because I love it so much - its my #1 favorite craft store.

Walking in and to the right there was this awesome display set up, so pretty with lights and birds and birdhouses

It was a lot to take in

Not too big and not too small, letters to decorate

Minc machine on sale for only $99. I kinda want one...

I love these clear paint style containers in all different sizes

I was suddenly inspired to buy a wood burning kit. How cute is this?!

Ahh I had one of these when I was a kid, a regular size one. I remember using it a lot! I was tempted to get this one..maybe next time.

Giant ampersand on my way out the door.

Sigh.

Love.

So much fun even though Tony rushed me a little bit. Hehe.

What's your favorite craft store?

Craft Warehouse Round 2

When I was in Idaho last weekend I vowed to get to Craft Warehouse and Saturday night, we made it! Here are some pictures I took of the store and the cool treasures I found!

So much wood, cut and assembled, ready for projects!

I love the backdrop of lights behind the burlap

I love this display! Those 4 boxes on the shelf, you can make these! You can buy a whole book of the material with the different patterns and designs. Then you need this tool to make the boxes. I love that everything to make the project is available to buy right here in the display. If I saw just the book of material, or just the tool used to make these boxes, I would have no idea what to do.

Good prices and sales

Check out the cute Valentine stuff. Where in Utah do they sell the wood board with the 3 small hanging boards? I think what they made with it is adorable!

And this! So badly I would love to make this, esp for the Pinterest party. I wonder if Craft Warehouse works with bloggers. Would have been so fun to make this at my party.

Tinting spray?! Like spray paint but for glass. I wanted to get all the colors and spray paint glass from the thrift store or something.  I guess this product is in Utah? I havent seen it yet. I just thought it was super cool.

Fun idea to do with the tint spray.

So we only spent around 30 minutes or so, maybe a bit longer, walking up and down many of the aisles, oohing and aahing over everything. I cant wait to go back again next time I am in Idaho.

What is your favorite craft store where you live?

Crafting in Idaho

My mom and my sister Allison and I made a few crafts over Thanksgiving weekend in Idaho. One is painting canvas with a short phrase on it.

I got the letters from a My Minds Eye blogger party a few months ago and this was the perfect opportunity to use them. I bought a pack of canvas on sale at Michaels and we were set.

This is one my mom made for my sister Laura who wasnt able to make it.
It says , "Live Joyfully".

The reusable letters were really easy to put down on the canvas and then we just painted over them with our favorite color of paint.

Allison put, "Enjoy the Little Things" on hers. I love the color she chose!

My before...

...and my after!

The next project we did was a small and easy one...

Bottle cap magnets with stickers I have made specifically for these

Our next project took a few days to do. My sister Allison provided the wood and spray painted what color we wanted for the base. We were making Christmas countdown boards.

Once it was painted, we taped off where we wanted the chalkboard paint to go.

Getting ready to spray the chalkboard paint

We also spray painted these frames gold to use on our countdown boards

Then we let everything dry for a bit. This was Sunday afternoon and since we were leaving in a little bit to go back to Utah, I told Allison I would finish the project there.

This is how my sister Laura wanted hers to look.  The top says 'Hoping & Wishing' and the bottom says 'Merry Christmas'. I had primed the chalkboard area here.

I didnt want mine looking like Santas belt buckle so mine is teal black and gold. I primed my chalkboard area here and wiped it clean. I really like how this turned out.

What Christmas crafts have you made lately? Link me in a comment below and I will come check it out!
