It's a 5K Vacation!

I've participated in The Color Run here in Utah the past few years and this year is no exception! Even if you don't love to run, that's okay! I walk and half run this 5K. There is not just 1 way to participate. Everyone is having fun and encouraging people around them.

I got to do The Color Run 5K with my husband a couple years ago and my cousins who live in AZ and friends that I have in Vegas have done this run before as well. It's all over the US so check and see what location is closest to you.

You can run or walk and you get to go through 4 color zones until you get to the finish line where there are lots of people dancing and cheering , music and maybe even a banana or an orange. The energy of everyone participating really keeps you pumped up. Its a great event for kids of any age as well as adults!

SLC - Color Run 5K!

Get ready, because on August 24th,2013 , The Color Run is coming to downtown Salt Lake City! I'm excited to be part of promoting this awesome event. My cousins have participated in it once in Arizona and I was involved in a similar event last year here in Utah but I've been wanting to do The Color Run for awhile so I'm really happy they come to Utah now! 

The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. The fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic “Color Festival,” using more colored powder to create happiness and lasting memories, not to mention millions of vivid color combinations. Trust me, this is the best post-5k party on the planet!  With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow: Wear white at the starting line and finish plastered in color!
