Favorite Things August Pinterest Party

Another brand-new theme for this month's Pinterest party! I may have done a similar themed party but it has been a number of years. Time for a refresh. Keep reading to see what we made and what we ate.

I did some prep the night before for the party. For the cracked marble craft...

And the watermelon Jello cups. I did the green layer the night before and the rest the day of the party. The Jello flavors were bought at Walmart. I had all the other ingredients on hand.

The Food We Ate

Chocolate Banana Snack Cake from Pinterest

A bit rich, definitely delicious. Mini chocolate chips were sprinkled all over the top

The finished look!

This was it for the food for the evening.
The ladies who attended were unable to provide treats this time.

The Crafts We Made

We made felt ball coasters. I love the look of how they all turned out! I may or may not be partial to the cockatiel. Hehe. I ordered felt balls from Amazon and here is the link with inspiration from Pinterest.

Cracked Marble Necklaces. So fun! Inspiration from Pinterest

I got marbles from my neighbor (thanks Peggy!) but also ordered more on Amazon for future crafts. We did this in our convection toaster oven at 450*F and the link in the pin said to do 500*F but we got it to work with our method. We poured 8 marbles into a cup of ice and a little water and swirled them around for a bit and they cracked. On the inside and not into a million pieces.

I got a request to do something with ModPodge so this is what we ended up making! I got some of the wood pieces at Walmart and others were from the Dollar Tree and other places I have gotten wood blanks from, including Foundations Decor. Use the code STACIESPLACE for a discount on the Foundations Decor website.

The napkins were ones I had on hand that I'd collected from over the months at various craft stores. The Happy Camper napkins were from Target a couple months ago, I do remember that!

Inspiration for this craft on Pinterest, here.

Which craft or food did you see that was your favorite?

Hoping to do a Pinterest party in Idaho in September!
