A Day at Pinners Conference in Pomona!

I hadn't really planned for sure if I was going to go to Pinners in CA this year but my friend Helen messaged and asked me if I might be going. Another friend of ours, LaWanna, had expressed interest in going so we worked it out that we would go one day - Friday - do the general admission ticket which let us access all the booths to shop + make & takes and then a ticket to participate in the girls night out from 4-8pm and that included 1 class.

Society of Wildflowers Conference ~ Day 1

I've been hearing about the Society of Wildflowers conference since around spring 2023. I was invited to teach a class so I blocked out 5'ish days in July 2024 and here we are! I am not going to talk about the behind the scenes and being a volunteer, in this post I am going to focus on the conference and what it had to offer.

A friend of mine in Ridgecrest sent me a photo of a craft she wanted to make. With no instructions, we figured it out. Take a look at how we made this cute craft!

Craftcation Conference Fun ~ Day 5!

Sunday was the last day of Craftcation! Sad day. I can't believe this crafty conference has come to an end for 2023. Nicole and Katie Mac were up on the stage with closing remarks.

Craftcation Conference Fun ~ Day 4!

My friend Barbara and I. She's so sweet and fun to talk to! We were in the Saturday morning class together about building an organic community. We were probably 2 of the youngest people in the room, lol. But it was mostly interesting overall. I feel again like I didn't learn a whole lot but it was nice to have a chill start to my morning.

Craftcation Conference Fun ~ Day 3!

My first class of the day was to attend this panel of ladies who spoke about brands and how to work with them. I got a few good tips but overall I was aware already of everything that was talked about. Still, it was pretty interesting to listen to overall. Here are some of my takeaways...

- Know what my aesthetic is, what is my core story

- Everyone has a brand, establish it early on

- Tag brands and use their hashtags. They are taking notes. Brand loyalty is important.

- When pitching, present with 3 tiers so brands have an idea of what you're thinking to do

- No doesn't mean forever, it just means no right now.

Craftcation Conference Fun ~ Day 2

I started the day with a Dye-Na-Flow class.

I don't think I've ever taken a dyeing class at Craftcation and this year I picked 2 to do!

Rachael is someone I've met at Craftcation in the past and also while volunteering in the past. She's super cool and talented and I even bought a cute skirt from her that she was selling when I got to the hotel Tuesday night to help my friend get her luggage to her room.

Check out Rachael's website here

Craftcation Conference Fun ~ Day 1!

Like last year, my friend and I went to Disneyland before heading to Ventura. I'll recap that in a different blog post. Heading towards Ventura on Tuesday evening we got to enjoy a very pretty sunset.

Pinners Conference - Pomona, CA!

For the last couple of years I've been able to attend Pinners conference in Arizona. I started out by attending in Utah years ago when this conference first became a thing. I've been to the one in California once a few years ago but this year to come back again! Check out what I got to do and see over Friday & Saturday.

August Pinterest Party ~ Idaho

I took the month of July off from doing any Pinterest parties since I was traveling so much. We were in Utah until almost the middle of July, home for a week, and then we left to go to Northern CA so I could attend girl's camp and volunteer on rappelling staff - hooray!  I did do a Pinterest party in August up in Idaho, so keep reading for a recap of that.

June Pinterest Party - Utah!

I hosted a Pinterest party at my friend Melissa's house, in Utah, when I was there visiting for a few weeks, in town for different events. I thought, why not throw a Pinterest party as well! So I did. Huge thanks to the 2 that came, we sure missed those who were not able to make it. Keep reading to see what we made and what we ate.

Spring Pinterest Party - Utah!

Alright crafty friends! This is my first Pinterest party in Utah for the year and I was really excited to be able to host one up there again. I kept the theme spring-themed because I had found a lot of cool crafts that worked. Keep reading to see what we made and what we ate!

Welcome to another recap of a 2022 Pinterest Party! 3 months in to the year and we've done a party every month so far. Hoping to get Utah on the schedule soon for a party and who knows where else this year? Keep reading to see what we ate and what we made.

Valentine's / Self-Care / Self - Love Pinterest Party!

The theme for January's Pinterest party was Valentine's (of course!) + self-care and self-love. The board I made up of ideas and inspiration is linked here. I feel like things came full circle this month when I made the decision to switch the party to virtual - that's what I was doing a year ago! Craziness. A couple of the crafters who had RSVP'd were not feeling up to par so it seemed best to do things this way.

Christmas Pinterest Party ~ ARIZONA!

I was going to Arizona for Pinners Conference in Scottsdale so I decided to see if any friends might be interested in coming to a Pinterest party while I was in town and ta-da, it worked out and my friend Rebecca was so kind to let me host it at her house - eve
n though she was out of town and didn't get back until the party was almost over.

Fall & Halloween Pinterest Party ~ Idaho!

Another brand-new theme for this month's Pinterest party! I may have done a similar themed party but it has been a number of years. Time for a refresh. Keep reading to see what we made and what we ate.

Christmas in July Pinterest Party

Sooo, there has been quite a lot happening this summer. To start, the last Pinterest party that happened was in May.  I had planned to do one for June but had 2 camping trips, a hot air balloon event and an unexpected family funeral in Northern California. So that pushed out any plans I'd made for doing a party that month. Now - July - almost over! I was gone for the holiday, then went up to Utah and a day later drove to Northern California again for another week of girls camp. I badly wanted to do a Christmas in July theme since somehow I've never done that before! But with very limited time to plan, it just didn't turn out like I had hoped in some ways. Keep reading though to see what we made and what we ate....

Garden Pinterest Party!

This was the first Pinterest party for Utah for the year! Only two months in, not too shabby, eh? This month's theme was Garden Party! Which is a * brand-new* theme and one that I got pretty excited about.

We pulled ideas from the board above and I was able to deliver the craft kits to everyone while I was in Utah. The party happened from my she-shed here in CA a few days after I got home.

First Ever - Virtual Pinterest Party 2020

**This post may contain affiliate links**

While I was in Idaho for Thanksgiving, I made the decision to jump to doing Pinterest parties virtually starting in December instead of January due to covid. Parties are soo much more fun (imo) in real life but I didn't want to completely stop doing them (like unfortunately happened over the summer) so the only other option there is right now is to try and do them virtually. This proves tricky in a lot of ways and I was nervous to start up this way of doing things but it worked out pretty decent. Keep reading to see what we made and ate.
